Director of Quality & Compliance

About the role

AJEX Logistics is seeking a Director of Quality & Compliance to lead its Quality, Compliance, and Process function. The role is responsible for the company’s Quality Management System, regulatory compliance across logistics operations, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of three Quality, Compliance and Process professionals.
• Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including SOPs, work instructions and forms.
• Ensure compliance with EU GDP, SFDA GSDP, ISO 9001 and other relevant regulations.
• Plan and conduct internal audits, prepare for and lead external audits.
• Manage the end‑to‑end CAPA process, including root‑cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
• Oversee change control for operational and quality changes.
• Standardise and document core operational processes across departments.
• Monitor validation, maintenance and calibration of quality‑relevant equipment.
• Control release of incoming shipments against defined quality criteria.
• Manage supplier and customer qualification and periodic re‑qualification, including Quality Agreements.
• Design and deliver quality, compliance and process training programmes.
• Track regulatory developments and translate them into concrete actions.
• Report KPIs to senior management and drive improvement plans.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in logistics, land transport, cold‑chain or pharmaceutical distribution/manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of EU GDP, SFDA GSDP, ISO 9001 and related regulations.
• Proven track record building or improving a QMS in a regulated environment.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits.
• Hands‑on mentality with willingness to stay involved in operational quality work.
