Drill Rig Mechanic (Trainee)

About the role

The Maintenance Department is seeking a Drill Rig Mechanic Trainee to support the upkeep of surface and underground exploration drill rigs. You will work alongside experienced technicians to minimise downtime and enhance rig productivity while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs of Epiroc, Boyles and Diamec PHC drill rigs.
• Support the diagnosis and repair of complex electro‑hydraulic faults on underground rigs.
• Perform routine tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements and lubrication.
• Use power tools, hand tools and diagnostic equipment to fabricate or repair components.
• Operate computerized testing equipment to identify faults and verify performance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts usage and work hours.
• Ensure all work follows company safety standards and OEM specifications.
• Keep the workshop area clean and organised.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or High School qualification with relevant experience.
• Basic experience with surface and underground drill rigs (Epiroc and Sandvik preferred).
• Good English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Saudi national.
