Driller - Land Drilling Rigs

About the role

H&P is hiring a Driller for land drilling operations in Saudi Arabia. The Driller operates and monitors drilling equipment, supervises the crew and ensures safe, efficient drilling while complying with H&P HSE policies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations.
• Supervise and direct Floorhands, Derrickhands and Assistant Drillers during assigned shifts.
• Ensure well control equipment is properly maintained and operational.
• Monitor drilling parameters and adjust them to optimise performance.
• Conduct pre-tour meetings and safety briefings with rig crews.
• Ensure compliance with H&P HSE policies, procedures and industry regulations.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks to prevent incidents and non-productive time.
• Maintain accurate drilling reports, tour sheets and operational records.
• Coordinate with Toolpushers, Rig Managers and customer representatives to achieve drilling objectives.
• Assist in emergency response and well control events as required.
• Keep the rig floor and equipment clean and well maintained.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-10 years of drilling rig experience with progressive responsibility.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Driller or Driller on land drilling rigs.
• Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control certification.
• Preferred: experience operating AC electric or advanced land rigs, knowledge of automated drilling systems, and experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
