Endocrinology Registrar – Clinical & Telehealth Specialist

About the role

The Endocrinology Registrar provides specialised care for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, delivering services through both virtual telehealth platforms and physical clinics. Working under consultant supervision, the registrar ensures high‑quality, patient‑centred care for conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis and metabolic syndrome.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and in‑person consultations, using video, phone and secure messaging to assess, diagnose and manage acute, chronic and complex endocrine conditions.
• Develop personalised treatment plans that include medication management, lifestyle advice and specialist referrals.
• Monitor treatment adherence, clinical outcomes and adjust management plans as needed.
• Document all clinical findings, diagnoses and treatment decisions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and incident reporting.
• Maintain compliance with medical regulations, ethical guidelines and telehealth governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear communication to patients and families.

Required profile

• Physician in advanced training (registrar level) with a focus on endocrinology.
• Ability to work under consultant supervision while delivering independent patient care.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms (video conferencing, secure messaging).
• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and integration tools.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance in a digital health setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues in collaboration with IT support.
