Entry-Level Surveyor – Civil Technician (Fresh Diploma)

About the role

The Surveyor will support the surveying team on land and engineering surveys for construction, infrastructure and land‑development projects. Working under senior surveyors, the role involves field measurements, operating surveying equipment and preparing accurate survey documentation to aid project planning and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and calibrate surveying instruments such as Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, digital and automatic levels.
• Conduct field surveys measuring distances, elevations, coordinates, angles and site features under supervision.
• Collect, record and verify survey data, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and quality standards.
• Assist in processing data to produce maps, drawings, reports and other deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain field notes, survey records and technical documents such as plans and boundary descriptions.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and basic troubleshooting of equipment, reporting any defects.
• Coordinate with engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate survey activities.
• Identify measurement discrepancies and report them for review.
• Adhere to company HSE policies, participate in safety meetings and support the Quality Management System.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; up to two years of relevant experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of land surveying principles and engineering surveying practices.
• Ability to work on‑site and follow detailed procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of Total Stations.
• Use of GPS/GNSS receivers for positioning.
• Handling of digital and automatic levels.
• Fundamental knowledge of surveying data collection and processing.
