Environmental Engineer – HSE for Large-Scale Petrochemical Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead HSE activities on the AMIRAL petrochemical expansion project in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. You will work within the PMT team to ensure the project meets stringent environmental standards while supporting a $10 billion CAPEX initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and related procedures.
• Develop and monitor the project CO₂ emissions balance, proposing reduction measures.
• Audit and supervise EPC contractors’ environmental activities, including water, waste, noise, air quality, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Review and approve contractors’ environmental organisations, plans, and HSE management systems.
• Control contractor performance, enforce compliance, and track corrective actions.
• Lead the environmental inspection programme and implement mitigation measures for any impacts.
• Prepare timely environmental reports with required data.
• Support the review of EPC package HSE plans, CEMP, procedures, registers, and licensing documentation.
• Update the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), drive continuous improvement, and produce weekly/monthly SES reports.
• Ensure compliance with RCER 2015 for EPC and EPO activities.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in HSE and environmental engineering.
• Engineering degree (environmental, chemical, or related discipline).
• Proven experience on integrated, joint‑venture petrochemical or refining projects.
• Strong knowledge of CEMP, CO₂ emissions monitoring, EIA processes, and RCER 2015.
