Environmental Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join Egis’ site supervision team in Riyadh. You will lead the delivery of environmental projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and international standards while supporting sustainable development in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, manage and coordinate environmental engineering projects, including site assessments, remediation, hydrogeological studies and waste‑management initiatives.
• Develop project proposals, monitor progress and ensure delivery within design specifications and schedule.
• Oversee fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, environmental testing and data collection.
• Analyse environmental data, prepare technical reports and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, international standards and Egis policies.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and design mitigation strategies for identified risks.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies and regulatory bodies to clarify requirements and maintain strong relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Use modeling software and analytical tools to assess conditions and predict outcomes.
• Coordinate field investigations and supervise contractors to uphold quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
• Professional engineering licence (or equivalent certification).
• Proven experience delivering environmental engineering projects in a consultancy or construction environment.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian environmental regulations and international standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
