Executive Director Legal & Compliance

About the role

The Executive Director Legal & Compliance will lead all legal, compliance and governance functions for a diversified Saudi group operating across regulated and non‑regulated sectors. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures robust corporate governance, mitigates legal risk and supports strategic decision‑making at board level.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance and litigation strategy across the group.
• Advise executive leadership on legal exposure, risk mitigation and strategic initiatives.
• Support board governance, prepare board materials and provide board‑level advisory.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and lead internal legal teams.
• Ensure adherence to Saudi legal and regulatory frameworks.

Required profile

• Senior legal leadership experience in large organisations or groups.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi legal and regulatory environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to align legal advice with business objectives.
• Arabic fluency highly preferred.
• Proven experience advising boards and senior executives.
