External Account Manager

About the role

Brenntag Saudi Arabia is looking for a motivated External Account Manager to join its chemical raw‑materials sales team in Jeddah. The role focuses on driving revenue growth in the paints, coatings, inks, adhesives and construction chemicals markets across the western region of Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and annual revenue targets in the coatings and construction chemicals sectors.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with manufacturers, end‑users and distributors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
• Provide technical sales support, including product recommendations, formulation coordination and troubleshooting.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to adapt sales approaches.
• Prepare sales forecasts and present market intelligence to senior management.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and supply agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies and QSHE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 3‑4 years of sales experience in chemical raw‑materials, preferably within paints, coatings, adhesives or construction chemicals in Jeddah and the western region.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the Saudi market.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic.
• Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Chemical engineering knowledge.
• Understanding of resins, solvents, additives and pigments used in coatings and construction chemicals.
