Field Service Engineer

About the role

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the repair, service, and commissioning of MDTotco products used in the oil and gas industry. This hands‑on position ensures equipment operates reliably, provides client training, and responds quickly to service calls while following NOV’s Health, Safety and Environment standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, upgrade and repair MDTotco equipment on client sites.
• Perform daily operation, maintenance and performance monitoring of the equipment.
• Prepare daily activity reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Clean, test and repair parts or systems as assigned.
• Deliver training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Respond promptly to service calls, ensuring fast and safe resolution.
• Interpret instrumentation drawings and verify correct cable connections.
• Work independently and as part of a team, staying current with industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
• Basic networking knowledge and ability to read electrical connection diagrams.
• Strong background in instrumentation or related disciplines.
• Completed coursework in basic electricity and electronics with emphasis on safety.
• Willingness to travel internationally for assignments.
• Self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
