Field Service Engineer

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer you will support maintenance, outage, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and auxiliary systems across power generation sites in Saudi Arabia and abroad. You will work closely with field teams, site management, engineering specialists and customers, gaining hands‑on technical experience while developing leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, commissioning, repair, assembly and disassembly of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and auxiliary systems.
• Supervise and coordinate small to medium‑sized field service teams, technicians and subcontractors during outage and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with Site Leads, Service Engineering teams and customers to ensure safe, efficient and successful project execution.
• Review technical documentation, attend customer meetings, prepare service reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Support outage planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, spare‑parts and tooling requirements while maintaining quality, safety and EHS compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in field service, power generation, heavy industry or rotating equipment environments.
• Basic knowledge of power plant operations and turbine/generator auxiliary systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, effective communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel extensively (≈80%) and work demanding outage schedules and shifts.
