Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer - Full Stack to join Moyasar's Engineering team and contribute to building and improving our payment products and systems. You will work across the full application stack, with Ruby on Rails as our core framework, developing backend services, APIs, web applications, and user‑facing features. You will work with technologies including Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq to build reliable and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer who enjoys solving problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with other engineers, Product, and Design to deliver high‑quality features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications and features across Moyasar's products.
• Build and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and improve frontend features and user‑facing web applications.
• Design data models and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL.
• Use Redis and Sidekiq for caching, background processing, and asynchronous jobs.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile planning.
• Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and security concerns.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineers to deliver new features.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Professional experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience developing full‑stack web applications and understanding MVC architecture.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with Redis and background job processing using Sidekiq.
• Experience with frontend web development and Git version‑control workflows.
• Experience writing automated tests and applying clean‑code principles.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication, collaboration skills, and command of English.
• Fintech, payments, or high‑volume transactional system experience is a plus.
