General Manager – Drilling Division (COO Level)

About the role

The General Manager – Drilling Division (COO Level) will lead all drilling activities for Golden Compass Mining Services, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable execution across Saudi Arabia. Based at the Jeddah head office, the role oversees multiple project sites and requires domestic and international travel as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical leadership for drilling operations, delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
• Develop, implement and enforce SOPs, best practices and performance metrics.
• Coordinate allocation of rigs, personnel, contractors and equipment across multiple projects.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, risk assessment and execution.
• Own HSE performance, lead incident prevention, investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance strategies for rigs and critical equipment to improve reliability.
• Ensure timely logistics, warehousing and materials management, overseeing procurement and vendor performance.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts and cost controls while supporting commercial activities.

Required profile

• Senior operations leader with extensive experience in drilling or mining services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, direct reports and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and compliance.
• Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting and cost control.
• Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
