General Manager – Plant Head (Advanced Precision Machining)

About the role

The Joint Venture is establishing a state‑of‑the‑art Advanced Precision Machining and Remanufacturing Facility in Dammam, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. We are looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager/Plant Head to lead the greenfield plant, own full P&L, and drive the end‑to‑end build‑out, qualification and scale‑up of the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Own profit & loss, delivering revenue, EBITDA, cash‑flow and ROCE targets set by the Steering Committee.
• Lead plant commissioning, layout finalisation, equipment installation and operational readiness, scaling from initial machines to full capacity.
• Develop and execute annual operating plans and a three‑year roadmap for capacity expansion.
• Drive cost optimisation, productivity, Lean, TPM and Six Sigma initiatives to improve margins and OEE.
• Oversee advanced CNC machining, heat‑treatment, surface‑treatment (HVOF, laser cladding), NDT, welding and API‑compliant processes for upstream oil‑field components.
• Lead certification programmes including API Q1, API Monograms and ISO standards, ensuring zero‑defect quality and compliance with EPC and customer audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in oil & gas upstream machining or remanufacturing.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership and scaling greenfield facilities.
• Deep familiarity with API qualification cycles, upstream standards and high‑integrity component manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work with joint‑venture partners and steering committees.

• API Q1, API Monograms and ISO certification knowledge.

• Capacity planning, asset utilisation and OEE optimisation.
