General Manager – PVC Pipes Manufacturing

About the role

The General Manager will lead the PVC pipes manufacturing business, shaping its strategic direction and overseeing all operational functions to drive growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s strategic business plan and annual operating objectives.
• Direct manufacturing operations to maximise productivity, efficiency, quality and profitability.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining high product quality and minimising waste.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and full P&L accountability.
• Monitor KPIs and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Optimise procurement, inventory, logistics and overall supply‑chain performance.
• Drive business‑development activities and expand market presence.
• Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Lead recruitment, performance management and employee development.
• Identify opportunities for process automation, cost reduction and operational enhancements.
• Prepare regular management reports and present performance to senior leadership and shareholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within PVC pipes, plastic extrusion, polymer or building‑materials sectors.
• Proven track record of managing full P&L responsibility and delivering operational excellence.
