GIS Consultant - Urban Planning

About the role

We are looking for an experienced GIS Consultant specialized in urban planning to join our hybrid team operating across the Middle East, India and the UK. The role focuses on delivering advanced geospatial solutions that support the design, analysis and approval of urban development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise ESRI GIS software and open‑source tools to create, manage and analyse spatial data.
• Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct spatial analysis and modelling to inform urban planning and master‑plan processes.
• Automate data workflows using FME or Python and mentor team members on these techniques.
• Prepare maps, reports and presentations for clients, engineers, planners and government agencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate GIS data into planning and design workflows.
• Provide technical support, training and stay current with emerging GIS technologies and urban planning trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in GIS consulting and urban planning.
• Strong background in spatial analysis, data management and project delivery.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working in agile or scrum environments is preferred.
