GIS On‑Site Supervisor

About the role

The GIS On‑Site Supervisor is responsible for the safe execution of engineering, commissioning and maintenance activities on high‑voltage GIS and AIS switchgear installations. The role combines hands‑on technical work with site leadership, ensuring compliance with GE Vernova EHS standards and delivering high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform LOTO operations and enforce safety procedures on‑site.
• Execute engineering and commissioning (E&C) for 230 kV and 380 kV substations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair live GIS/AIS switchgear and related electrical panels.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to identify equipment issues.
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance schedules for substations.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, back‑office documentation, and customer records.
• Coordinate with OEM factories for unresolved repair problems.
• Provide technical assistance during installation and pre‑arrangement phases.
• Lead site teams or act as a team member, allocating responsibilities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering or a related diploma.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with high‑voltage switchgear (GIS/AIS).
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work across multiple remote sites in the Kingdom and manage pressure situations.
