Governance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Governance Specialist with 2 to 5 years of experience in the financial or banking sector. The role focuses on developing and enhancing our corporate governance framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, and applying best governance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and periodically update the corporate governance framework.
• Monitor compliance with governance‑related regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Research and apply best governance practices locally and internationally.
• Identify key stakeholders (Board of Directors, senior management, relevant departments) and define roles, responsibilities, and interaction mechanisms.
• Ensure effective internal controls are implemented across business processes.
• Coordinate with departments to integrate governance requirements into operational processes.
• Maintain and regularly update policies and procedures registers.
• Prepare periodic reports related to governance and compliance activities.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in governance, compliance, or risk management, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance principles.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to prepare reports and communicate across all management levels.
