Infrastructure Presales Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure Presales Engineer designs and positions enterprise infrastructure solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements. The role works closely with the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution design, proposal creation and vendor engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to gather business and technical requirements and design end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions covering servers, storage, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery.
• Lead technical workshops, proof‑of‑concept builds, solution presentations and create high‑level and detailed design documentation.
• Prepare technical proposals, BOM/BOQ, sizing recommendations and respond to RFPs, RFQs and tenders.
• Coordinate with Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo and other vendors for pricing, validation and technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of presales engineering experience in system integration or solution provider environments, including enterprise projects and government tenders.
• Preferred certifications such as VMware pre‑sales, Dell Technologies Proven Professional, Microsoft Certified (Windows Server/Azure) or Nutanix Certified Professional.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of enterprise server, storage, backup and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, SAN/NAS platforms and data‑center networking.
• Design of high‑availability and disaster‑recovery architectures, capacity planning and system sizing.
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo hardware solutions.
