About the role
We are seeking an IP Services Administrator to support the management and prosecution of trademarks, patents and designs for our legal team. The role involves preparing application forms, coordinating translations, and ensuring all case deadlines are met.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare trademark, patent and design application forms using an intellectual property database.
- Organise translation of correspondence between the firm and the Trade Marks and Patent Office (English and Arabic).
- Liaise with case handlers to draft routine letters, powers of attorney and client reports.
- Manage original documents and maintain accurate records.
- Make telephone calls to the Trade Marks and Patent Offices as required.
- Enter data accurately into the trademark database and monitor case deadlines.
- Provide cover for team member absences and undertake ad‑hoc duties assigned by the IP Operations Manager.
Required profile
- Education up to high school level; degree desirable.
- Previous administration experience in professional services; IP administration experience preferred.
- Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow instructions from paralegals and case handlers.
- Proven multitasking skills and capacity to prioritize a busy workload under pressure.
- Proactive approach to meeting tight case deadlines.
