Lead Site Manager – EHV Substation Project

About the role
The Lead Site Manager will oversee all construction, building, and commissioning activities for an EHV Substation project on the customer site. This role ensures the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Overall Site Lead Manager for execution of the Sub‑Station project within the defined timeframe.
- Act as GE site representative for the customer, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Establish site management processes, health & safety policies, security, housekeeping, fire protection, and quality assurance on the construction site.
- Implement the overall project safety program and comply with national, regional, and local safety & health regulations.
- Plan and schedule all site execution activities, including site infrastructure, rules, organization, resources, and monthly expense costing.
- Monitor project cost, schedule, safety, and quality performance; take corrective actions as needed.
- Control expenditures for equipment, material, and services to keep field operations within budget.
- Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors (civil, MEP, electrical, testing & commissioning) and with the customer, providing regular progress reports.
- Review installation drawings, forecast critical tasks/materials, and ensure implementation of method statements and risk assessments.
- Receive equipment/materials, arrange inspections, report non‑conformances, and manage site material security.
- Develop red‑markup modification drawings for as‑built documentation and report ROE for completed activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a site lead manager for sub‑station or similar large‑scale construction projects.
- Responsibility for maintaining high levels of customer relationship and satisfaction.
- Ability to establish and enforce site management, safety, and quality policies.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring of construction activities.
