Logistics Officer - Road Freight & Dispatch

About the role

BRKZ, a Saudi construction-tech startup, is hiring a Logistics Officer in Riyadh. You will be the backbone of its ground operations, making sure construction materials move from factories and supplier yards to customer job sites across the Kingdom. The role covers daily dispatch, transporter sourcing, rate negotiation and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and dispatch daily shipments (bulk materials, cement, flatbed loads, heavy haulage) to ensure on-time delivery.
• Sourcing, qualifying and onboarding local transport providers to build redundancy across every trade lane.
• Negotiate freight and haulage rates, build lane-by-lane rate cards and reduce freight cost per unit.
• Oversee delivery notes, weight tickets and factory loading orders (including FASAH for cement) and reconcile deliveries against purchase orders and transporter invoices.
• Work with Operations, Account Managers, Finance and Suppliers to resolve field issues and avoid delivery bottlenecks.
• Use internal dashboards, route planning and fleet platforms (BOB, OPS Portal, Metabase) to track shipments and driver performance.

Required profile

• 2-5 years in logistics, dispatch or transport procurement in Saudi Arabia (construction materials or heavy haulage preferred).
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi road transport, vehicle types, weight limits, loading orders (FASAH) and site/factory procedures.
• Proven track record of negotiating transport rates and building rate cards.
• Ability to source and onboard transporters quickly and handle paperwork with high accuracy.
• Native Arabic speaker with very good English; valid Saudi driving licence and willingness to visit sites and factories.
