Logistics Specialist – Import & Customs Operations

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage import operations, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance across its Saudi Arabian market. The role ensures the timely, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of goods while supporting the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor import shipment activities, including tracking, cost monitoring, payments, and system registrations.
• Prepare, review, and submit customs clearance documentation to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with government authorities, customs brokers, and logistics service providers to obtain approvals and resolve clearance issues.
• Ensure all required documentation, registrations, permits, and pre‑approvals are completed before shipment arrival.
• Support regulatory compliance activities such as SFDA registrations, SASO certifications, and customs exemptions.
• Coordinate delivery of imported goods to designated warehouses and ensure warehouse readiness.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and contribute to operational‑excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import logistics and customs clearance.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulatory requirements (SFDA, SASO).
• Strong coordination skills with internal teams, authorities, and external service providers.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage documentation and compliance processes.
