Maintenance Engineer – Hotel Facilities (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Movenpick Hotel & Residences Riyadh is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of all building services. You will work on‑site, handling preventive maintenance and urgent repairs to keep guest areas and back‑of‑house facilities running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, generators, pumps, lifts, lighting, kitchen equipment, pool & spa systems, and plumbing.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and log all activities in maintenance software and shift hand‑over reports.
• Respond promptly to engineering or guest service requests, minimizing downtime and coordinating urgent repairs.
• Act as the on‑duty engineering representative, liaising with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B, Security and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with local fire, health & safety, and mechanical/electrical codes.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment, and support junior technicians.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of engineering/maintenance experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, resort or large facility.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics and produce accurate shift documentation.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
