Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for restoring equipment to operational condition and performing scheduled preventive maintenance. The role works closely with the production and maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair requests from the production/maintenance team leader and execute repairs following procedures, work instructions, and machine manuals.
• Seek assistance from the Maintenance/Production Team Leader when troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Request spare parts using the Spare Parts Requisition Form and coordinate with the store keeper.
• Perform repairs, clean the work area, and ensure it is free from residues.
• Document completion time, task description, pending items, and any new findings on the daily maintenance report.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to checklists and report any new observations for future scheduling.
• Participate in 5S activities to improve workplace organization and safety.

• Ability to follow established procedures, work instructions, and machine manuals.
• Willingness to collaborate with team leaders and request assistance when needed.
• Attention to detail for accurate reporting and clean work areas.
• Commitment to 5S principles and continuous improvement.
