Mechanical Designer - Metal Enclosures

About the role

Alkhalefah Industries is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Designer to create metal enclosure solutions for its industrial projects in the Riyadh Region. You will be responsible for turning concepts into detailed 3D models and 2D drawings that meet functional, safety and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept layouts, 3D models and precise 2D fabrication drawings for metal enclosures.
• Select appropriate materials and fabrication methods, ensuring compliance with standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to optimise designs for manufacturability, cost and performance.
• Support prototyping, testing and iterative design improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical assistance during installation or commissioning.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal design practices and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Practical experience designing metal enclosures or similar mechanical structures.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple design tasks.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software for 3D modelling and technical drawing.
• Experience in sheet‑metal manufacturing processes such as bending, welding, cutting and surface finishing.
• Knowledge of prototyping, testing and implementing design improvements.
• Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and safety regulations.
