Mechanical Engineer – Site Support

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support the delivery of mechanical works on site in Saudi Arabia. Working under the guidance of the Senior Mechanical Engineer and reporting to the Design Manager, the role focuses on reviewing designs, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day mechanical engineering support on site, answering construction queries, RFIs and technical clarifications.
• Review HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection and other mechanical works for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify and report site issues, discrepancies or non‑conformances to the Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with structural, architectural, electrical and fit‑out trades to avoid clashes.
• Support inspections, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Prepare sketches, mark‑ups and simple mechanical drawings using CAD/BIM tools.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals and method statements, and track their status.
• Help prepare responses to RFIs, technical queries and manage NCRs.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with experience in site construction support.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills for on‑site issues.
