Media Coordinator

About the role

The Media Coordinator will lead all media and communication activities for a professional football team, ensuring accurate coverage, a positive public image, and strong engagement with fans, media outlets, and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and broadcasters.
• Organise press conferences, media interviews and mixed‑zone activities before and after matches.
• Coordinate with the club’s media and digital teams to deliver timely news, match updates and official statements.
• Support media operations during matches, including accreditation, media access and coordination with photographers and broadcasters.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, media briefings, team news and official announcements.
• Arrange and manage media appearances for players, coaches and club officials.
• Help maintain the club’s positive public image through consistent messaging.
• Track and analyse media coverage and report insights to management.
• Assist with sensitive communications and respond to media inquiries when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in media coordination, journalism or public relations.
• Previous experience with a football club, sports organisation or media outlet is an advantage.
• Certifications in media relations, public relations or digital communications are a plus.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Ability to draft clear, concise and engaging media content.
• Excellent networking and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of media monitoring tools and digital platforms.
