Medical Advisor – Oncology/Specialty (Saudi National)

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Saudi national Medical Advisor to represent the medical and scientific voice for oncology and specialty products. The role combines scientific expertise with strategic input to support affiliate business objectives while maintaining functional independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific guidance to external experts, healthcare professionals, and internal cross‑functional teams.
• Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of assigned products and therapeutic areas through congresses, training, and literature review.
• Contribute to the creation and review of core dossiers, pricing and reimbursement packages, HEOR studies, and medical information materials.
• Design and oversee Phase IV and post‑marketing research projects, including registries and real‑world evidence studies.
• Deliver scientific presentations, medical education programs, and training to sales and other departments.
• Ensure all medical content complies with AbbVie policies, local regulations, and industry standards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) preferred; relevant undergraduate degree with demonstrable experience acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, preferably in solid tumors, companion diagnostics, or specialty therapeutic areas.
• Proven experience in evidence generation, real‑world evidence, non‑interventional studies, and investigator‑initiated studies.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel regularly (approximately 50%) and work independently in a hybrid environment.
