About the role
Medical Science Liaison – Vaccine & Immune Therapy at AstraZeneca in Saudi Arabia. The MSL will serve as a scientific bridge between the company and key external experts, focusing on vaccine and immune‑therapy therapeutic areas.
Key responsibilities
- Build, enhance and maintain advocacy with Key External Experts (KEEs) and non‑traditional stakeholders such as policy makers, payer groups and government bodies.
- Identify, prioritize and expand the network of KEEs based on scientific expertise and influence within hospitals and institutions.
- Engage in balanced, objective scientific discussions and present clinical data in a non‑promotional context.
- Generate actionable insights from the medical community and communicate them to the brand team to shape medical and brand strategy.
- Map patient‑care pathways, understand multidisciplinary team maturity and provide insights on clinical practice trends.
- Travel across assigned territories in Saudi Arabia to meet healthcare professionals, external experts and vaccination‑related stakeholders.
Required profile
- Extensive scientific expertise in vaccine and immune‑therapy therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with KEEs and non‑traditional stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for scientific discussions and presentations.
- Field‑based mindset with willingness to travel extensively across Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to translate medical insights into strategic recommendations for brand teams.
