Navigation Engineer

About the role

Riyadh Air is looking for a Navigation Engineer to lead the design, validation and implementation of specialised navigation procedures across its global network. The role supports flight crews with expert guidance on performance‑based navigation, escape and depressurisation procedures, and ensures that electronic flight bag (EFB) charting solutions are accurate and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate specialised navigation procedures, including drift‑down and depressurisation profiles.
• Assess aerodrome suitability, route options and navigation constraints for network planning.
• Analyse airspace changes and operational constraints to identify safety, efficiency and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain and customise EFB charting solutions for pilots and operational teams.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations, Safety, Engineering and external partners to coordinate navigation updates and approvals.

Required profile

• University degree (relevant field).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in airline flight operations or a similar navigation role.
• Strong knowledge of air navigation regulations.
• Experience with planning systems and familiarity with Jeppesen charts, Aviator and LIDO training.
