Network Engineering Senior Specialist (Contractor)

About the role

The Network Engineering Senior Specialist will lead the design, deployment, and security of the network linking GPC with central banks and commercial banks across the Gulf region. This contractor position requires deep technical expertise and the ability to mentor a team while ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet strict financial‑sector security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage the network infrastructure between GPC and central banks for money‑transfer operations.
• Act as technical mentor and team lead, developing cyber‑security expertise across the network.
• Lead network and security projects, ensuring delivery according to design, schedule, and business goals.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN equipment and software, including IPsec VPN (Site‑to‑Site, DMVPN).
• Implement advanced routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and perform due‑diligence assessments of existing solutions.
• Create design and support documentation, raise change records, and follow client processes.
• Maintain and monitor network security tools such as web application firewalls, IDS/IPS, and web proxies.
• Oversee security policy enforcement, including internet browsing restrictions and software download controls.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of professional experience in network engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of banking, money‑transfer, and financial‑sector networking environments.
• Professional certifications are a plus.
