Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident

About the role

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident will join Alhayat Medical Clinics in Riyadh to provide supervised clinical care across outpatient, inpatient, and labor‑and‑delivery settings. Working under senior physicians, the resident will gain hands‑on experience in women’s health while contributing to patient management and education.

Key responsibilities

• Take comprehensive patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Assist and perform normal and high‑risk deliveries, including cesarean sections.
• Participate in gynecologic surgeries and minor procedures under supervision.
• Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Document patient encounters accurately and contribute to treatment plans.
• Attend ward rounds, multidisciplinary case discussions, and patient education sessions.
• Engage in academic activities such as teaching junior trainees and attending conferences.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and eligibility for OBGYN residency in Saudi Arabia.
• Fundamental clinical skills in patient assessment, history taking, and physical examination.
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment and respond to emergencies.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and local regulations.
• Interest in continuous learning, research, and quality improvement.
