Offshore Piping Designer – 8-15 yrs Experience

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Piping Designer to support the engineering phase of a major offshore oil and gas project in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work on offshore platforms, jackets and topsides, delivering detailed 3‑D models and engineering documents in line with Saudi Aramco and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts, general arrangement drawings, isometrics and 3‑D models for offshore facilities.
• Prepare and review piping deliverables such as plans, support drawings, material take‑offs and specifications.
• Perform equipment and piping layout studies to ensure safety, maintainability and compliance.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve interdisciplinary issues using 3‑D modelling tools.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings and verify equipment interfaces.
• Participate in model, constructability and client reviews.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of experience as a Piping Designer on offshore oil and gas projects.
• Hands‑on experience with offshore platforms, jackets, topsides and brownfield modifications.
• Experience in FEED and detailed engineering phases of EPC projects.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Al Khobar.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), E3D/PDMS and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials, supports and offshore design practices.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3, API standards and Saudi Aramco engineering standards (SAES/SAMSS).
