Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead and optimise daily operations of a transport project in Makkah, ensuring operational readiness, compliance with contractual standards and a high-quality passenger experience. This role requires close coordination with clients, government authorities and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee fleet deployment, route optimisation and station management on a daily basis.
• Supervise drivers, field operations and customer-service teams to maintain performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environment (HSE) regulations.
• Act as primary liaison with client entities, government authorities and partners.
• Monitor operational schedules, trip timings and service reliability against KPIs.
• Manage operational contracts, monitor supplier and contractor performance.
• Supervise ticketing systems and track daily operational revenue.
• Prepare and deliver daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks and resolve field challenges.
• Lead the pilot phase and subsequent official launch of the project.
• Propose and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Transportation Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing transportation, large-scale infrastructure or major field-service projects.
• Proven track record in public transport or government projects (highly preferred).
• Fluent Arabic and professional English proficiency.
