Operations Supervisor – Amazon Logistics

About the role

Amazon is expanding its Operations team and is looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead shift management in a first‑mile fulfilment centre, middle‑mile sortation centre or final‑mile delivery station. You will be the on‑ground pulse of the operation, ensuring customer orders move smoothly through each step of the logistics chain.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe working environment by identifying safety opportunities.
• Manage, train and motivate associates to deliver high‑quality service.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled according to quality and safety guidelines.
• Provide critical shift information to frontline management and operators.
• Adjust labour allocation throughout the shift to meet or exceed forecasts.
• Collaborate with support functions to resolve performance issues (e.g., process readiness, 5S, safety, training).
• Analyse data to solve logistics and supply‑chain challenges and drive process optimisation.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a high level of ownership.
• Ability to lead by example and develop expertise in operational processes.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends and overtime.
• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Physical ability to lift up to 49 lb and stand or walk for shifts up to 12 hours.
