OT Cybersecurity Engineer – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join a leading organization on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on protecting operational technology environments, including SCADA, DCS and PLC systems, and ensuring compliance with Saudi regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system hardening across OT/ICS environments such as SCADA, DCS and PLCs.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities through risk‑based vulnerability management programs.
• Execute and support Operational Technology Cybersecurity Compliance (OTCC) activities in line with Saudi regulations.
• Conduct internal OT cybersecurity audits, assessments and gap analyses.
• Develop and implement OT cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and operations teams to ensure secure system design and integration.
• Monitor OT environments for threats, anomalies and incidents and assist in incident response.
• Support compliance with IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001 and local Saudi cybersecurity guidelines, preparing audit reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity or industrial environments.
• Hands‑on experience with SCADA, DCS, PLCs and industrial network protocols.
• Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity frameworks and standards (IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and remediation in OT settings.
• Familiarity with network segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection for OT systems.
• Proven experience conducting OT cybersecurity audits and managing compliance programs.
