Paper Machine Operator

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Paper Machine Operator in Riyadh. The operator is responsible for running the paper machine efficiently and safely, producing high-quality paper that meets or exceeds customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust operating parameters such as speed, temperature and chemical dosing to keep quality and efficiency high
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and report any issues or malfunctions
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure raw materials, chemicals and consumables are supplied on time
• Collect and analyse data from control systems and instrumentation, and make adjustments to optimise performance
• Apply quality control measures such as sampling and testing to ensure the final product meets specifications
• Document operational data, production logs and quality records according to company policy and regulatory standards
• Help troubleshoot production issues with maintenance and engineering teams
• Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations, and take part in continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor less experienced operators when required

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in paper processing or a related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in paper machine operations
• Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in paper manufacturing

Required skills

• Thorough understanding of paper machine operations, process control systems and quality control procedures
• Ability to interpret and adjust process parameters from real-time data
