About the role
The Policy Governance Senior Manager will lead the end‑to‑end review, development and oversight of the bank’s policy framework. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that all policies align with regulatory requirements, best practices and the bank’s Delegation of Authority, while driving consistency and eliminating duplication.
Key responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive review and governance of policy structures, ensuring regulatory alignment and best‑practice consistency.
- Coordinate policy implementation with stakeholders, validate execution and maintain supporting evidence.
- Define policy ownership classifications and advise owners on roles, responsibilities and regulatory expectations.
- Manage regulatory‑to‑policy mapping, conduct gap and overlap analyses, and serve as the central authority on regulatory interpretation.
- Develop and maintain policy standards, frameworks, templates and internal review guidelines.
- Conduct periodic and ad‑hoc policy effectiveness reviews and report findings to Executive Management and Board Committees.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of policies and MPMs, including approvals, sign‑offs, tracking, publication and regulatory correspondence.
- Standardize submissions to Executive Management, the Board and Board Committees.
- Establish standards for implementing procedures and conduct health checks on policy‑procedure alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement of governance processes through systems, dashboards and workflow enhancements.
- Manage a centralized policy repository with version control, archiving and dissemination.
- Supervise policy review working groups and develop effective collaboration workflows.
Required profile
- Proven senior‑level experience managing policies and procedures within a complex organization.
- Strong background in governance frameworks, policy development and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate with compliance, risk and business units.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in regulatory mapping and gap analysis.
- Effective communication skills for reporting to senior executives and board members.
