Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for construction projects, ensuring that materials and services are obtained on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role collaborates closely with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to support seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full RFQ process, evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, and conduct commercial and technical analysis.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions with vendors.
• Coordinate material quantities, delivery schedules, and logistics with project teams.
• Prepare purchase requests, purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and resolve procurement‑related issues such as delays or shortages.
• Maintain supplier databases, evaluate performance, and support contract administration.
• Provide regular procurement reports and updates to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively in English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation capabilities.
