Procurement Specialist – Food & Kitchen Supplies

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead the sourcing, negotiation and purchase of high‑quality food items, kitchen supplies and related services. The role ensures that the catering operation runs smoothly by securing the right products at the best value while complying with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select reliable suppliers for food and kitchen equipment.
• Conduct market research to maintain competitive pricing and availability of key ingredients.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and delivery terms to achieve optimal value.
• Coordinate timely procurement and delivery to meet kitchen production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels with warehouse and kitchen teams to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to understand product requirements and uphold quality standards.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and expand the supplier database.
• Ensure all purchased items meet HACCP, ISO or other food safety regulations.
• Process procurement requests from all departments efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in food or catering.
• Strong knowledge of food products, perishables and kitchen equipment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
