Production Manager – Frozen Operations

About the role

The Production Manager – Frozen oversees all aspects of frozen product manufacturing, from mixing and processing to filling and palletising, ensuring output meets SADAFCO’s standards and international best practices while optimizing cost and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the approved production strategy to meet factory and business goals.
• Plan and schedule production activities to achieve time and budget targets.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve bottlenecks using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Monitor production performance data, highlight trends, and drive continuous improvement.
• Audit and maintain the operating system (SOS) and lead Lean initiatives.
• Enforce product quality rules and ensure staff compliance.
• Recruit, train, and develop the production team, fostering high performance and teamwork.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed, review incident reports, and lead safety audits.
• Manage quality control, reject non‑conforming products, and implement corrective actions.
• Control conversion costs and standardise operational activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing production in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
• Ability to analyse data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality standards.
• Financial acumen to manage production costs.
