Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads hourly operators to meet daily production, safety, quality and delivery targets. This role manages line activities, assigns work based on priorities and resources, and ensures operations run safely, efficiently and in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks to operators according to production needs and line priorities.
• Supervise and support hourly staff to ensure safe, accurate execution of procedures and quality standards.
• Lead daily huddles to review performance, priorities, issues and action plans.
• Verify shift readiness – staffing, materials, equipment and process set‑up.
• Use production systems and tools for execution, reporting and escalation.
• Identify, communicate and escalate safety, quality, delivery or cost issues.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Maintain material flow to workstations and ensure clean, organized work environment.
• Apply Lean principles, 5S and visual management to drive productivity and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning and Engineering to resolve issues and meet goals.

Required profile

• Diploma, technical college degree or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising operators or coordinating shop‑floor activities.

• Lean manufacturing methodology.
• DMS (Data Management System) usage.
• SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics.
• 5S workplace organization.
• Continuous‑improvement tools and techniques.
