Production Team Leader – Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Team Leader is responsible for ensuring optimal staffing and smooth operation of manufacturing lines. This role coordinates daily production planning, oversees machine performance, and guarantees that quality, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate personnel per machine and address manpower gaps to meet daily production targets.
• Review and validate daily production reports to ensure accurate shift handovers.
• Supervise machine trials and production runs, reporting any raw‑material non‑conformities.
• Assign tasks and deadlines to the production team and monitor goal achievement.
• Promote safe, efficient work practices while maintaining a tidy plant environment.
• Enforce hygiene protocols (hairnet, mask, gloves, hand sanitization) on the shop floor.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance Department.
• Implement quality procedures in collaboration with the QC Department.
• Evaluate staff performance and recommend incentives or training.
• Participate in safety and environmental briefings and toolbox talks.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading production teams in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage staffing levels and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Effective communication skills for shift handovers and cross‑department coordination.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
