Project Engineer - Mechanical HVAC (Residential)

About the role

Eram Talent is recruiting an experienced Project Engineer Mechanical with a strong background in residential unit HVAC and mechanical systems. The role covers design reviews, material installation, site supervision and quality inspections for the mechanical components of major building rectification and upgrade programs, ensuring strict adherence to design criteria, codes and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. The workplace is on site in Thuwwal, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of design packages and provide constructability feedback to the design and engineering team or consultants
• Review and coordinate shop drawings and as-built drawings across trades and disciplines
• Supervise and inspect mechanical work, monitor progress day to day and perform QA/QC inspections, issuing periodic quality reports
• Respond to contractor inspection requests and technical queries, and issue field directives with the project management team
• Verify quantities and work progress, and coordinate resolution of mechanical design issues with contractors and stakeholders
• Support technical decisions, assist in installation, troubleshooting and repair, and guide operation of mechanical distribution systems
• Lead commissioning, startup and adjustments of mechanical systems
• Investigate complaints about code violations, document deficiencies with before-and-after photos, and maintain daily project track sheets
• Develop project charters covering scope, budget and schedule, and work with FM, IT and HSE teams

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience verifying design against construction, QA/QC, material specifications and commissioning of residential HVAC and plumbing systems
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills, customer orientation, self-motivation and strong ownership
