Purchase and Planning Officer

About the role

Baalbaki Chemical Industries (BCI), a regional chemical manufacturer of polyurethane materials and solutions, is hiring a Purchase and Planning Officer in Riyadh. The role supports purchasing planning, logistics coordination and inventory management so that materials and supplies are available on time for production, while optimising costs, keeping accurate records and improving efficiency through planning, process implementation and KPI monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Purchasing planning: prepare and implement purchasing plans based on sales forecasts, production requirements and capacity, coordinate monthly production plans with managers, and follow up on orders and delivery schedules.
• Logistics and cost optimisation: ensure timely shipments and deliveries, optimise logistics costs and service levels, and follow up on shipment schedules to address delays.
• Inventory management: set minimum and maximum stock levels and replenishment thresholds, monitor stock, manage inventory cards in the ERP system, run regular physical stock counts with warehouse teams, and handle slow-moving, excess and idle stock.
• Process improvement and KPIs: help draft and implement SOPs for purchasing, planning, inventory and logistics, and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, planning, inventory management or logistics.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

• Good knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management processes.
• Strong analytical, organisational and coordination skills.
