QAQC Engineer

About the role

Under general supervision, the QAQC Engineer performs quality assurance and quality control duties to ensure all installed commodities meet established specifications and design requirements. This role involves independent inspections, material testing, and coordination with project teams to uphold high construction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Independently conduct walk‑downs and inspections of installed commodities to verify conformance with specifications and design requirements.
• Perform material testing and verification to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors, and coordinate quality requirements with contractors and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in site supervision, quality assurance, and quality control on construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of applicable construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Material testing and verification.
• Inspection of installed commodities.
• Use of construction management software and data analysis tools.
• Implementation of quality management systems (ASQ, ISO 9001).
