Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead SAAMS' Quality System, develop manuals and procedures, and act as the primary liaison between the RSAF and SAAMS for all maintenance‑related matters. This role ensures compliance with international aviation standards and internal policies while supporting the A330 MRTT fleet maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support the customer during A330 MRTT fleet maintenance, ensuring continuous monitoring and surveillance in line with RSAF procedures and global aviation standards.
• Maintain the integrity of the Quality System against regulations such as AS 9110, EASA, FAA, RSAF, GACA, and Part 145 requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of requirements for AS 9110 certification.
• Lead internal investigations of events/incidents and manage corrective actions from internal and external audits.
• Perform physical and spot checks to verify compliance with the QMS.
• Inspect, advise, and monitor technicians performing maintenance activities.
• Control discrepancies, corrective actions, and MRO subcontractor performance.
• Assist the Head of Quality and Safety with KPI tracking and act as part of the Quality CST with RSAF authorities.

Required profile

• University or college diploma, preferably in Aeronautical Engineering or Quality Systems.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance, inspection techniques, and aircraft systems (airframe, avionics, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, aerodynamics).
• Professional command of written and spoken English.
• Deep understanding of aeronautical quality standards, auditor training, and root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO/AS 9110, EN/AS 9100, Part 65/66, Part 145, Part M, CAMO, Part 21, and relevant aviation regulations (EASA, FAA, GACA).
