Quantitative Finance Mentor (Remote)

About the role

Wall Street Oasis is expanding its Quantitative Finance track and seeks experienced professionals to mentor students aspiring to careers in quant research, systematic trading, and quantitative investing. This remote, flexible role allows you to share your expertise while earning compensation based on mentorship activity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1‑on‑1 coaching to students preparing for quantitative research and trading positions at hedge funds, prop firms, and systematic funds.
• Offer recruiting insight, covering quant interview techniques, brainteasers, case studies, and coding assessments.
• Help high‑potential students translate strong mathematical abilities into real‑world quant careers.
• Optionally discuss modeling and strategy, giving feedback on trading strategies, back‑testing approaches, and research methodology.

Required profile

• Professional experience in quantitative research, systematic trading, or quantitative hedge funds.
• Academic background in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or quantitative finance.
• Strong technical foundation in probability, statistics, and programming.
• Clear communicator able to simplify complex quantitative concepts.
• Detail‑oriented with consistent, thoughtful feedback.
• Preferably experience at hedge funds, prop trading firms, systematic asset managers, or quant teams within banks.
