About the role
The Saw Expander Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining expander equipment in a steel pipe production environment. The role requires precise setup, monitoring of pipe dimensions, and reporting of any production issues. Strong English communication skills are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Execute change‑over and set‑up of the expander machine.
- Perform pipe expansion, sizing, and verify expanded dimensions.
- Report production stoppages and update tracking systems.
- Control machine tools and consumables to ensure availability.
- Assist with lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and perform operative maintenance.
Required profile
- Good English speaking and reporting ability.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the steel pipe industry.
